The AquaDecanter Type R rotary decanter is a high quality highly refined decanting system designed for intermittent treatment processes. Aquatec Maxcon’s robust decanting system incorporates a standard range of lengths that is customisable based on decant flow rates and water levels. AquaDecanter Type R have been installed across Australia and New Zealand in a range of lengths from 5m up to 22m, and can be installed in pairs or sets depending on civil requirements and site restrictions. The AquaDecanter range of rotary decanters is designed and tested in Australia for the harshest wastewater treatment applications.
The trough of the decanter is a proprietary design that offers even flow under a skimmer and can operate at multiple flow rates. It can be adjusted to suit a range of normal and peak weather conditions. Decanters can be customised to the site to allow different top and bottom water levels and operate at different flow rates. Aquatec Maxcon’s local engineers are able to size decanters based on flows and can customise the number and size of the collection tubes and main draw off pipework to ensure the best treatment and lowest headloss for the application.
All decanters are supplied in standard 316 stainless steel and include integrated screw jacks and drive motors sourced from local suppliers, ensuring long-term reliability and readily available service support. The standard AquaDecanter Type R is a proven, robust solution with an extensive reference base across a range of designs and sizes, delivering a low total cost of ownership over a typical operating life of 30 years.

Gas Lock Siphon Decanters (GLSD) are also known as Air Lock Decanters (ALD), Siphon lock decanters (SLD). Aquatec Maxcon also design manufacture and install these simple yet robust decanter style from Stainless Steel, only, no Fiberglass. These style decanters are renowned for there very simple operation, very few moving parts and very long asset Lifecyle. For a stationary decanter understanding the design is important, utilising only air and head pressure to start and complete the decant cycle. Aquatec Maxcon has hundreds of these decanters installed nationally, and can replace aging fiberglass assets to give a new lease of life of existing plants, or can offer upgrade paths to increase capacity based on civil and hydraulic restrictions

Single or Double trough vertical decanters are a simple and reliable decanter solution for rectangular tanks with central or end wall fixed bridges. The Vertical trough is mounted under the bridge, and the clutches motors and other equipment is mounted on the bridge. For large tanks where Double Troughs are utilised multiple outlet pipes can be accommodated, generally for end mounted bridges single or double outlets are accommodated based on civil requirements. For Large Troughs dual motors and clutches can be installed to operate together, and single motors and clutches are preferred for single sided or smaller vertical troughs. Aquatec Maxcon has installed dozens of vertical trough decanters and can customise materials to incorporate Mild Steel or Stainless Steel depending on project requirements and plant location. Service and maintenance of lifting equipment and maintenance of decanter Boots is important for these decanters, Aquatec Maxcon has a service team to maintain all aspects of the Vertical Trough Decanter.
